HAPPY BIRTHDAY M.O.C.H.A.
In early January 2020, my life had taken a Gruesome and Unexpected turn. I was a Victim of Police Brutality by the hands of Multiple Officers from The Greenville City Police Department in South Carolina and No One was hearing, Listening, or Paying Attention to my pains. I felt helpless and hopeless because I didn’t have a Clue as to what to do Next. I admit, I was Lost and struggling to find Motivation and Inspiration. My Faith was shaken and my Trust had taken a major blow after searching for help to fight False accusations that were made by the Police Department. No One seemed to have any Answers and the National scene was full of what I term as Police Organizations. These are the People, Major Organizations, and Large Movements who Only take Interest in Injustices after they have Already Occurred. Most times these people only show their support when there is an Unfortunate tragedy or Death involved. This was very disturbing and troublesome to me. I knew someway or somehow that I had to DO SOMETHING to Change the things that were WRONG around me. It was after I discovered that there were NO Organizations or Movements in America (to my Knowledge) who focused on SOLUTIONS along with Voicing their Obvious grievances. I then took action into my own hands by Consistently studying the History of my family. It was through the further Education of my family’s beginnings that I found Courage, Motivation, and the strength for endurance, and on May 5, 2020, ( ONLY 1 Day Before MY BIRTHDAY) The Men Of Color Having Answers Foundation was Established. I Immediately held a Voter Registration Drive in the Middle of a terrible and frightening Pandemic. Despite our Organization being Founded during some of the Most Challenging times in American History, We were out on the streets Sacrificing and risking our Lives with an Effective message of Change and Voter Registration Information being distributed. The origin of M.O.C.H.A.’s name derived from Questions repeatedly being asked to GOD in regards to the Injustices that were and still are REPEATEDLY displayed in our nation daily. GOD then provided me with MULTIPLE Visions of Missions that needed to be completed in order to bring about Efficient Change to our Nation. I then started writing Solutions/Strategies https://themochamission.org/solutions that would help to Remedy Generational Obstacles Faced By Black People in America. This is Only the Beginning for The M.O.C.H.A. Foundation took our message of peace & unity to the streets of Greenville, helping to heal and register voters.
