Stand In, STOP and Watch

Lately we’ve all been enraged while witnessing the multitude of tasteless Injustices Against People of Color occurring all across America. However, we have yet to hear from any Major Leadership either inside or outside of the Black Community, in regards to any single form of action, in an attempt to end the terror being unleashed against Black Americans. The Men Of Color Having Answers Foundation remains very disappointed, due to the absence of a devised solution from Black Leadership. Our organization has grown tired of witnessing innocent Black Lives being harassed, beaten, and in many cases, Murdered by the hands of those paid to serve and protect them. The M.O.C.H.A. Foundation firmly believes that there must be a Solution! Our organization has gathered Intelligent minds together and we want to offer to our community one Initial form of Action that we believe will eventually lead to a change in Policies while also saving lives. The M.O.C.H.A. Foundation offers to you, “The “Stand In.” Just like our forefathers of the Civil Rights Movement used the sit in, The Stand In, will yield similar Positive Results.

What is a Stand In? Standing In, is when you observe an unknown Black American in the presence of the police and you take interest in the outcome. Specifically when the Person of Color is pulled over on the side of the road/street. Standing In, is Stopping, Watching, and Waiting until the Person of Color safely leaves the scene alive. Recording the incident in the presence of an officer, ensuring that the P.O.C. makes it to his next destination alive; even if the police deem that the infraction by the Person of Color to be punishable by jail time. The Stand In Participant must stay at the scene, preferably with a recording device in hand (separated enough not to interfere with the investigation, but close enough so the officer can see that you are watching). If foul play is witnessed by the Stand In participant, the participant should call these injustices out on recording loud enough for the officer to acknowledge your presence. The Injustice must also be reported to authorities for investigation. The Stand In participant must also be willing to go to court on behalf of the person of Color, so exchanging information in completion of your Stand In is important. We also recommend that the person of Color and the Stand In participant register to vote after the Stand In in local elections. We also encourage everyone affected by Racism and Injustices to register to vote. We are not saying that this form of action will eliminate Injustices, because unfortunately we have a long road ahead. Nonetheless, The M.O.C.H.A. Foundation felt extremely inspired to offer to you a Solution! We were tired of feeling hopeless and complaining without Resolutions to ongoing issues. We must remember everyone didn’t agree with or initially think that the ‘Sit Ins” of the 60’s would work either. Although, the Sit Ins proved to be Enormous and very effective. We are not asking anyone to break any laws, but what we are saying is; Stand In/ Stop and Watch make sure that someones kid makes it home Alive. Please do not pass by, for it could be your kid that someone ignores and history repeats itself for the wrong reasons. The Stand In, if for nothing else, will show that we are UNITED and standing with our People of Color to ensure that they make it home alive. The ideas expressed might not be your ideal solution, however, No conversation regarding a solution means that we continue to allow our people to be murdered. If our solution is different from your own, then let’s start the conversation on other Resolutions. Please Please help us to be able to spread and deliver a new message of change with immediate solutions and Action. Your support and donations help us to continue our fight for EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS.
