The Seneca Set-back
Last Friday (6/5/20) The Men of Color Having Answers Foundation contacted The Seneca, SC City Hall. We expressed a desire to ‘Only” register voters for the upcoming November Elections. Unfortunately, we felt unwelcome and also felt though the City of Seneca had no reasonable interest in assisting our organization with our peaceful mission. The M.O.C,H.A. Foundation was then made aware of the racially motivated cartoon published in the Seneca Journal on 6/10/20. We were not only very offended but we were also disturbed. At this point the Black Community has to make it a personal mission to vote out hate. We would hope that the City of Seneca and surrounding areas of the Upstate would allow and encourage voter registration for all citizens so that they can properly allow all people to voice their opinions through choice at the polls. We would also like for you to know that the incidents of hate that have been displayed across the upstate are all examples of why voting is very Imperative. However, we are a Proactive organization and had already had effective plans in motion before the string of offensive conduct had begun to become common occurrence in surrounding areas.
