We are grateful for The NAACP, but it may be time to Modernize our fight for Civil Rights by forming The N.B.A.C.📝
The National Black Advancement Council.
On this groundbreaking day of the release of our 75th written solution focusing on efforts to End Generational Obstacles Faced by Black Americans, The Men Of Color Having Answers Foundation (M.O.C.H.A.), offers to America, one of the most pivotal resolutions since the establishment of our organization less than three years ago.
Interestingly, the primary source of inspiration that initially propelled me to create The M.O.C.H.A. Foundation, was the fact that meaningful change for Black People in the United States had not been witnessed since the 1960s.
Like many, the realization of this fact left me feeling hopeless and therefore I felt somewhat obligated to work to change this motionless narrative.
After becoming conscious of this disheartening truth, the challenges of creating change became even more discouraging after discovering that, the meaningful advancements of Black Americans overall have been delayed and in a dormant state for as long as many of us have been alive. Nonetheless, we still currently find ourselves at the mercy of the descendants of those whose forefathers were responsible for victimizing an entire race of people based on the color of our skin. Centuries later, we are still helplessly entangled into a game of wait and see; patiently awaiting relief for generations of oppression.
Shockingly, we have continued to expect remedy and aid to be administered from the pockets of some of the same people that have benefited from the intentional obstructions that were put in place to hinder our progress, while also taking away our liberties. Decades later, we find ourselves clinging to a malicious and fabricated mentality, which offers us hope in thinking, if we beg just enough, one day things will suddenly change.
I’ve found that the primary cause for Black Americans being stranded without impactful change for the majority, is largely due to the deceitful approach of many of our black leaders, who are no longer seeking out the advancements for the people. Nevertheless, those in prominent positions are now searching out partnerships for funding and disappointingly these same funds have yet to effectively change the lives of the masses.
Sure, we have organizations such as The NAACP that will grant small scholarships to Black Students, only if they are able to make it through their early inherited struggles and graduate high school.
It is extremely important that we recognize that the battles in today’s society began for black youth long before they have even had an opportunity to reach their senior year of high school.
We must also face the reality that the American Schools system wasn’t structured for everybody to succeed, and this goal is so much more difficult to achieve whenever our children are fighting to overcome persistent daily barriers that occur outside of the classroom and inside their individual environments.
I’ve discovered that there is an absence of engagement and a serious disconnect between black youth and our older organizations that were once instrumental in the desegregation of schools for many in the South. The current absence of black organizations is why you are able to ask almost any young teen in America about the current works of our large organizations that formed either before or right after the Civil Rights Movement, and they have very minimal knowledge of them at all.
There is a reason for this lack of familiarity, and It is because these organizations have been nonexistent to the modern day struggles of the youth in America and this disengagement has to change.
In order for official progress for Black Americans to be made once again, we need Black leadership that is bold and stands firm on fundamental beliefs that represent the better interests and the advancements of the people. Nowadays, We have way too many leaders that have been paid off by oppression, in order to purposely keep the true progress of Black people suppressed.
We can’t continue having our most recognized organization making controversial decisions that are able to set precedence on a national level, and these decisions not be representative of the best interests of the majority.
We need leaders with innovative thoughts/ideas and understanding, for the purposes of efficiently serving the people.
There is no way that major generational issues such as discrimination, the criminal justice system, voting rights, police killings, poverty, education, and black-on-black neighborhood crimes are still prevalent and have not shown recognizable improvements.
The truth is, our leaders have allowed OPPRESSION to set the rules and the boundaries of the advancements of Black People, in order to receive payoffs, and as a result of this money-grubbing system, it has halted our progression; while also setting Black People in America back decades in the real battle for Civil Rights.
If that’s not shameful enough, we have black leadership who have publicly rejected a proposal for cash payments for reparations to African Americans in the state of California. However, this same leader has never been hesitant in accepting the cash payments being dispersed to the accounts of NAACP.
It is clear that these leaders do not represent the better interests of all Black Americans and stepping down is no longer good enough whenever Black Americans have free will to build a much more efficient organization that stands for the best interests of all Black People in America.
For these reasons and so many more, I ask that Black Americans and people of all nationalities that stand for change in America, come together and help me to create a new updated and socially relevant organization that oversees the real advancements of Black People in the United States.
We cannot continue to standby waiting for change to happen while allowing Black Americans to continue a relentless cycle of suffering, while economically falling further behind because of the poor decision making of a few.
Black Americans deserve an organization that is active in addressing our modern day needs and not just one that awaits injustices to occur before attention is focused on the problem.
In establishing The National Black Advancement Council (N.B.A.C), we have the opportunity to address the essential needs of Black Americans, while also discovering methods of recovery that will help us to effectively overcome decades of being in an stagnant state. In creating The N.B.A.C. we also have the opportunity to gain support from flourishing young Black Americans who have defeated the odds and have preserved despite the lack of engagement by our Black organizations. We have the opportunity to also reach other nationalities of people who understand our struggles, but have yet to be inspired to join our fight for Civil Rights. We can no longer afford to be complacent in falsely believing that our situations will one day fix themselves.
In final, we must understand that there is a secret society of people with unwritten laws that allows for the payoffs to the names of organizations for not supporting and joining the struggles of individuals who are capable of creating impactful change in America. Therefore, all forms of oppression are able to comfortably survive and thrive in an American society.
This explains how, in my home state of South Carolina, that my organization (The MOCHA Foundation) could write a proposal to a city council to name an unnamed bridge after a woman who was one of the first enslaved at Fort Hill Plantation in Clemson, South Carolina, and despite receiving a unanimous decision supporting my proposal by a city council, not one organization including the NAACP would jump behind the Resolution and make it happen for the people. The continued lack of engagement by the NAACP to assist young Black Americans in South Carolina and across the nation has helped oppression to also hide the fact that The Men Of Color Having Answers Foundation (MOCHA) is the only organization in America that has written 75 viable solutions to End Generational Obstacles Faced by Black People in America, in less than 36 months of our organizations establishment.
We must remember that we have the Power to help save ourselves by making the necessary adjustments. I strongly believe that it is time that we stand together to create an organization that truly represents the ideas, visions, and the future of Black Americans in the United States of America.
