đşđ¸An American Truth that Black, White, and Natives alike; are all owed an explanation for why this American History is still being withheld, by CLEMSONđ
In the early days of January 2020, I frustratingly found myself faced with reoccurring generational obstacles that had relentlessly haunted me throughout the majority of my life.
As time went on, it became evident that these inherited hurdles were beginning to become unbearable; and at one point, the enormous weight of the struggle to overcome them had almost consumed me.
Despite enduring an immense amount of repetitive battles for equality throughout my lifetime, my soul still yearned for a solution to this lifelong crisis that is unfairly experienced by Black Americans each day in the United States of America.
While discovering ways to counter unjust discrimination and crippling inequalities for as long as I can remember, I distinctly recall falling victim to countless social injustices along the way. Nevertheless, somehow I still desperately strived to find asylum in a Jim Crow South.
Many times, Iâve found myself having to battle from behind, in the process of withstanding and overcoming some of the most brutal adversities that resulted from racism, poverty, and the lack of meaningful opportunity.
At the end of the day, it was the obstacles that I regularly faced, that had tremendously contributed to an extended period of frustration in my life.
During this very troubling time, there werenât many positives in my life, however, there was one thing that I remained adamant about.
That one huge thing that no one could change, was the fact that my heart truly required and desired change. Honestly, I had no idea how this change would come about.
The unexplained happened. âŹď¸
âAt the beginning of the COVID pandemic, In January 2020, I experienced an unbelievable occurrence. I received a authoritative declaration through somewhat of a spiritual awakening, that commanded me to THINK to resolve the issues that had unfairly plagued my life. â
After my very unusual life-changing supernatural experience, I would soon discover that I was totally clueless regarding the starting point of my quest in being obedient to the commandment that I had inspiringly received.
However, I was 100% sure that I had been given a divine assignment by GOD, to make a difference in the lives of millions, while also creating evolutionary change that was capable of progressively impacting America.
It now frightens me whenever I reflect back and think about how the incredible mission of The M.O.C.H.A. Foundation, that is now responsible for unearthing a buried American secret, was nearly nonexistent; due to the absence of knowledge regarding my missions starting point.
Unsure of the necessary steps that needed to be taken, in order to begin my journey, yet positive about my purpose; I initially began my mission with the study of my ancestors history. As I sought the written stories of their past lives, hoping to gain understanding to some of my greatest challenges of today.
The Men Of Color Having Answers Foundation (M.O.C.H.A.).
On May 5, 2020, less than 6 months after my unexplained awakening, I created The Men Of Color Having Answers Foundation (M.O.C.H.A.), a South Carolina nonprofit organization, dedicated to the discovery of Solutions to end Generational Obstacles faced by Black Americans.
Remarkably, in less than 3 months of establishing The M.O.C.H.A. Foundation, I successfully wrote a proposal to the Clemson, South Carolina, City Council, that would name an unnamed pedestrian bridge in honor of my grandmother, Nancy Washington Legree, a formerly enslaved Native American woman, whose stories of enslavement have been published numerous times by Clemson University Press, since the establishment of the College around 1893.
As you can see from the image above, Clemson University shamelessly altered the age of my grandmother and have irresponsibly misrepresented the true story of my grandmotherâs life, for the purposes of strengthening the Universityâs glorified story of slavery.
The truth is, a resilient 105 year old Nancy Washington Legree, never lived more than a few days past her 105th birthday. You are able to discover the truth within a certified copy of my grandmotherâs death certificate below âŹď¸
The misrepresentation of Race, Identity, and culture, regarding my ancestors true history at Clemson, has only gotten worse as time goes on, with opportunists immorally chasing the associated riches and self gratification that they feel will safely secure their own personal legacyâs, by using a familiar blueprint that was initially used by Slaveholders. This plan includes gaining profit by any means, and at the expense of Black Americans.
Calling On, CALL MY NAME, for Accountability!
The Call My Name Project is a mission headed by Dr Rhondda Thomas, with an initiative to tell the stories of Black men, women, and children throughout Clemson University's history whose lives and experiences have been largely overlooked in the University's public history.
In the post below, displayed on a Call My Name project website (dated September 17, 2017), a piece of my familyâs story is highlighted, as it is being told by my aunt Viola Williams, whom I fondly remember interacting with, during the days of my childhood.
As you read the post below, take notice of the inaccuracies of age and the discrepancy of birthplace of my grandmother Nancy, in regards to the location stated on the clemson.edu post featuring, Nancy Washington Legree, on the cover of the publication.
Just in case you are unable to scroll back through to the clemson.edu, picture that I previously shared of Nancy Washington Legree, here is what the caption reads at the bottom of my grandmotherâs article.
âIt is important to note, that after my discovery of the information confirming that my grandmother, Nancy Washington Legree, was the daughter of Vice President John C. Calhoun; educators, media, and local officials, all privately conspired to suppress a hidden American secret, in which I had successfully uncovered. For decades now, Clemson University has profited from my familyâs story of being enslaved. Since the story of slavery at Clemson has been written, my ancestors history has been Clemsonâs headlining story of Slavery, at Fort Hill Plantation. This lasted until, I discovered a hidden truth. Up until then, my ancestors story was a deep centerpiece of safely selected slave history, that has generated millions in donations, grants, and personal contributions from the public. Yet, Clemson has neglected to acknowledge this truth and has not ever contributed anything to my organization through recognizing our efforts. Neither has Clemson bothered to remedy the devastating effects of holding my ancestors Enslaved for over 50 years past the emancipation, at Clemson.â
The true story of my ancestors history at Clemson, has not yet been revealed to the world, due to a confederate culture of coverup, that still finds ways to continue exploiting the indigenous population, for the purposes of profit.
The post below provides visual proof that Clemson University has publicly promoted and freely used my ancestors oppressive stories of enslavement, as their primary tourist attraction. As my grandmotherâs image was used as the face of the brochure for âThe African-American Experience at Fort Hill.â This was after holding my ancestors enslaved for over 50 years past the emancipation. Not once, has Clemson University ever given back to my family for their immoral crimes of the past.
There is no doubt that Clemson Universityâs inactions are immorally wrong, but because most people arenât aware of the factual circumstances surrounding the history of my ancestors at the school, they are falsely lead to believe that all efforts by Clemson to contribute to Black Americans are genuine.
The job of deceiving the people is made even easier, once you add a Black American to your staff, who appears to have the best interest of the oppressed at heart. This is how oppression has traditionally infiltrated once promising missions in America, by using another black person to do so.
Some of these people have victimized and exploited the poor in the worst ways, while also standing in the way of official progress of the people. Surprisingly, some have also strategically prevented and prolonged the healing and the mending of wounds from taking place.
Black faces have deceptively stood in the way of meaningful progress for Black people at Clemson.
One woman stands in the way of the truth being revealed to a group of people in regards to the true racial identities of their ancestors. An unknown truth is, less than 5% of those enslaved at Fort Hill Plantation were African Slaves.
History proves to us, that the majority of the people Enslaved in the Northwest Piedmont of South Carolina, were descendants of Native Americans, who were captured in the pursuit of the Calhounâs and others, attempting to conquer the lands that would later become the United States of America.
One woman is withholding a secret from America that is arguably larger the Sally Hemings and Thomas Jefferson affair?
One educator who has refused to address, publicly acknowledge, or recognize the facts regarding my grandmother, Nancy Washington Legree, being the daughter of John C. Calhoun. The man whose philosophy was so influential that it caused 11 states to secede from America, and later resulted in a Civil War.
I have to pose a question to American Historians. Is my well documented mission to undo the damages caused by (my grandfather) the former Vice President, John C. Calhoun, and Calhoun fathering Black Native American Children, not one of the single biggest stories in the modern day studies of United States history?
Maybe, itâs only news whenever those who record history are writing about prominent politicians of the past, and perhaps, they never expected a living descendant of those that history books have celebrated, to awaken to his true identity, and come forward.
This same descendant exemplifies familiar characteristics of both his ancestors. The ones who were enslaved and fought for their liberties; and also the very deep critical thinking capabilities of a man whose ideals changed early American history through his beliefs on slavery; and therefore extending the hardships of Black people.
The same man that did more politically to promote slavery, than any other man in American history. Itâs a fact, John C. Calhoun, was arguably one of the most celebrated, but hated politicians in American history, based on his strong views in support of slavery.
One woman at Clemson University has been the holder of history that has the potential to change American history. I believe this one woman has suppressed the truth, while also muting all those whose real history doesnât reflect the false narrative of Slavery at Fort Hill that has been fabricated by Clemson University press.
While this one woman doesnât shoulder 100% of the blame, however, she certainly owes so much more to Black Americans.
In September 2020, during a time of uncertainty in American history, where citizens all over the nation were fighting very passionate battles for the removal of racist and controversial monuments and statues, I personally presented an effective form of resolve to the Clemson, South Carolina, City Council.
During this very divisive time in America, I drafted and presented a proposal to the Clemson City Council, that would name an UNNAMED bridge over highway 123, in honor of the memory of a formerly enslaved, 105 year old woman, who was held captive for nearly 100 years.
Nancy Washington Legree, a woman Clemson University had previously written countless stories, thoroughly detailing the extended enslavement and the resulted atrocities that were faced by Nancy Washington Legree, while she was enslaved at Clemsonâs Fort Hill Plantation.
Appropriately, the bridge that I selected to dedicate to my grandmotherâs memory was fittingly located in her old neighborhood that was named, Calhoun. A historical black community located in Clemson, the Calhoun community was the area that my ancestors settled in, after being forcefully removed from their homes, due to the expansion of Clemson University (formerly Clemson College).
On October 19, 2020, the Clemson City Council voted and Unanimously approved, The Legree Resolution. A resolution that would name the pedestrian bridge in memory of Nancy Washington Legree. A resolution that the city of Clemson, SC, had never acted upon, despite rendering a unanimous decision 3 years ago this month.
Less than one week after the city of Clemson held its historic vote and the council voted in favor of naming the unnamed bridge, I received an invite from Dr. Rhondda Thomas to attend a Woodland Cemetery tour on the University of Clemsonâs campus.
In the past, I had previously written about how the Woodland Cemetery tour seemed extremely rushed and urgently thrown together. Truthfully, the cemetery tour was a bizarre experience, as Clemson Universityâs leadership who participated and organizers both, seemed uncomfortable and unprepared.
At the time, the cemetery tour, seemed strange and somewhat orchestrated, considering the fact that the local news channel was currently showcasing the historical achievement of the Clemson City Council and The M.O.C.H.A. Foundationâs LEGREE RESOLUTION.
During the tour, a professor was our guide, and she was very informative as she explained that much of the wealth that enabled the growth of Clemson University had come from African Americans buried at Woodland Cemetery.
I then asked the professor, what are the plans of Clemson University to honor the unidentified at Woodland Cemetery.
Before a crowd of 10 or so individuals in our Woodland Cemetery tour group, which also included a pastor from a local church, the professor responded, âWe donât have any plans to honor them; we havenât thought of that; weâre just doing research.â Clemson University then went on for two years spending millions of dollars, in desperation, searching for impactful ideas to honor the unidentified at Woodland Cemetery that would rival my achievement of naming the bridge. This is OPPRESSION & how they have disingenuously stolen ideas from the descendants of those the school Enslaved. Clemson did this without the inclusion or the input of The M.O.C.H.A. Foundation, despite my organization providing them with the Initial Inspiration to honor. DESPITE MY GRANDMOTHER and her descendants being the main attraction of Clemson Universityâs promotion of Slavery.
However, I am well aware of the fact that it was my mission to honor my grandmother, Nancy Washington Legree, which first inspired Dr. Thomas & Clemson University with the idea to honor the unidentified and the celebrated at Clemson University. They were simply void of ideas and, therefore, only conducting research.
Looking back now, I understand why Dr. Rhondda Thomas would take the initiative to honor my grandmother personally. After all, my grandmother Nancyâs story had been studied, written about, and published by Clemson University and Dr. Thomas many times in the past. My grandmother Nancyâs life was Clemson Universityâs story of Slavery.
The truth is, Dr. Thomas felt as if the great-grandson of a formerly enslaved woman that she had studied and written about wasnât worthy of the accolades that accompanied naming a public marker in honor of a woman whose true history had been partially erased at Clemson.
Dr. Thomas must have felt some type of way after conducting countless hours of research, and along comes a man she feels is uneducated, who creates meaningful change by the dedication of a bridge in a fitting area. A man whose ancestors were denied opportunity and Enslaved at Clemson.
This same man, facing generational obstacles that were initially inflicted by Clemson University, is able to create meaningful change, which Dr. Thomas had been unsuccessful at, despite having a platform and financial backing.
So what does Clemson University do to divert the attention away from the M.O.C.H.A. Foundationâs historical naming of the bridge achievement on 10/19/20?
They reach deep into their Public Relations bag and then they recreate the cemetery tours as a form of distraction. They move along accordingly and act as if the information regarding the unidentified graves at Woodland Cemetery is a new finding. They use the media to run the story as if the news concerning the unidentified graves isnât recycled information and as if the tours hadnât already been conducted decades ago.
The first image below is an invitation to the Woodland Cemetery tours, only days after the historic Legree Resolution was passed by Clemson City Council.
Below I have provided the official documentation of the initial cemetery tours, having already been conducted decades ago.
The immoral actions of Clemson University has proven to the world, that their culture hasnât really changed over the years, and the privileged are still willing to use the ideas of the descendants of those the founders enslaved for the purposes of profit. Meanwhile, the rich keep getting richer, and the true history of America becomes vanished at the very same time.
There is no doubt in my mind that Clemson University, the city of Clemson, SC, and others not named, have secretly conspired to financially hinder my organizationâs ability and efforts to create change. They have collectively conspired to affect my organization in private, in attempt to financially squeeze the life out of my organization in order to suppress support and kill the truth.
CLEMSONâS actions have resulted in my organization of Truth having to raise funds to effectively undo the damages that were inflicted by my grandfather, John C. Calhoun, and further exasperated by the founder of Clemson University, Thomas Green Clemson.
Shocking FOX NEWS video below. On Unidentified Graves at CLEMSON!
Truthfully, It was my mother who had initially called my phone and informed me that Clemson University had found unidentified graves over on the grounds where her mother, Mary Louise Martin (Peppers), was raised from birth.
I honestly hadnât heard of, nor did I have any knowledge regarding, the Call My Name Project; so therefore, the written proposal to name the bridge was not influenced by Dr. Thomas or Clemson University.
I personally find Clemson University to be guilty of the same Confederate culture that is currently Instilling further harsh oppressions directly onto The M.O.C.H.A. Foundation and to the descendants of Nancy Washington Legree, by continuing to hide history, cunningly snatching the ideas from the descendants of those the institution Enslaved, and concealing a secret that has misled an entire race of people, and as a result, it has led to the racial misidentification of millions of Black Americans.
Please Assist an organization that stands on Truth A vital mission that has been greatly affected by those who intend to keep the Truth suppressed. I am the great-grandson of Nancy Washington Legree, the former Enslaved 105-year-old Native American woman, who was also the daughter of Martha Liza Lee, a captured Cherokee Indian who was initially raped by former Vice President, John C. Calhoun, at Clemson, before also becoming the mistress of the former Senator before he died in 1850.
Please assist The M.O.C.H.A. Foundation, In undoing the wrongs of the past!
