🤳🏾 The Stand In Solution will one day, be just as Effective as the Sit In Movement was.🪑
In less than 30 days after establishing The Men Of Color Having Answers Foundation (M.O.C.H.A.), a nonprofit organization founded on the principles of discovering solutions (ideas) to end generational obstacles faced by Black Americans, my young organization faced our first of many major challenges to come. On May 25, 2020, the unforgettable tragic murder of George Floyd, by former Minneapolis Police officer, Derek Chauvin, was one of the single most disturbing turning points in American history. As a result of the brutal murder of George Floyd being captured on camera, many Americans were outraged and desperately in search of some form of immediate relief from the surging obstruction of police killing unarmed Black Americans nationwide, while continuously escaping criminal prosecution.
In less than 24 hours after the murder of George Floyd, The M.O.C.H.A. Foundation, provides a written Solution.
Just like the majority of you, the insides of my soul was sick, disgusted, and very bothered after viewing the very disheartening video of the murder of George Floyd. I was so devastated, I was inspired to think of a solution that would help to end the traditional narrative that has allowed police to get away with killing innocent Black people.
I was so disgusted by the video footage from Mr. Floyd’s murder, that I was sleepless and I couldn’t rest until I came up with a plan of action that would accomplish two goals. The first objective I hoped to achieve was, to discourage the spread criminal acts of police brutality against Black Americans. My plan would also help to serve justice on the offending officers, as well as, holding the responsible officers accountable for their crimes.

The Stand In Solution was formed and presented to America starting on May 26, 2020, as a written solution aimed towards preventing the unjust brutality and inhumane killings of Black Americans by police officers. Due to my organization’s rapid response to the gruesome murder of George Floyd, by way of offering a viable solution to the people, my nationwide efforts to bring awareness to the Stand In Solution would soon land me on a national phone call, with longtime Civil Rights activist, Rev. Al Sharpton.
During my conversation with Rev Al, I briefly discussed bits and pieces of my plan. Mr. Sharpton then promised me support and a partnership to make change happen before we ended the call. Our phone call was 3 years ago. As of today, that commitment has not yet been met.

There is no doubt, that it takes a lot of bravery and a ton of courage to Stand In for someone who you do not know, especially when the situation at times can be very risky. However, some of the most important gifts that you are able to give by Standing In for the unknown are, the gifts of freedom and a continued life that wasn’t allowed to be recklessly taken without the possibility of justice being served. The Stand In Solution would be shared thousands of times across Social Media and even radio in the days and months following the death of George Floyd. It was evident from the overwhelming responses our organization received, that The M.O.C.H.A. Foundations’ Solution inspired citizens throughout the country to began Standing In.
It really makes me extremely proud to know before any individual, politician, group, or organization had any idea of a remedy to the police killings of innocent civilians; The Men Of Color Having Answers Foundation had already visualized, created, and delivered our strategy Nationwide. It also makes me happy to see that there are so many Cop-watchers and others, who have made Standing In, into a lifestyle; while in the process of saving lives.
This is why it is very important that we reprogram our minds to donate to methods of prevention, instead of consistently contributing to the response of another tragedy.
