The Voter Inclusion & Education Program!
Many reading this feature already have a clear understanding of Voting and the Political system in America. Unfortunately, that same Knowledge and Understanding has not been equally extended to all citizens here in America, Specifically not to Black Americans. The Men Of Color Having Answers Foundation wishes to initiate a plan to Educate and provide Clarity to all people in regards to the voting and political process to ensure a more Informed and Effective decision when casting their votes. This Historical and Groundbreaking mission is called, The VIE Program. The Voter Inclusion & Education (VIE) programs purpose is to educate our communities on who’s running for office and how the office(s) decisions affect our everyday life. This program will identify local/state candidates along with their particular duties as elected officials.
It is very Important that we accept the fact that many Black Americans have never been formally introduced to the voting process and we must immediately address this issue and get it turned around.. The VIE program will go a very long way as far as Educating and Informing with very valuable Information. There are also some of us that simply don’t know the true influence and Power of the vote and the ability to make changes to all forms of Government, by simply exercising our Constitutional Right and voting. The VIE Brochure/Newsletter will help educate potential voters to have a better understanding of who and what they are voting for, which will generate much more Interest in upcoming elections. Black Americans that have chose to not vote, need to understand that by not voting; we are giving up our right to have a choice in choosing of our Governors, Senators, Mayors, Judges, Sheriffs, Prosecutors, County/city council, Coroners, School admin etc. This is about so much more than just choosing The President of the United States. Truth is, we can remove offensive memorials, paint our names in streets, and even protest in those very same streets but until we vote and until the current names are changed, then our struggles are sure to remain the same. This is why it is extremely important that we build onto the VIE Program Nationwide, simply because of the lack of interest shown by our Government in regards to the education of Black America on the voting and political process.
The M.O.C.H.A. Foundation intends on raising funds with the assistance of charitable donors from the many diverse communities in which, we have been privileged enough to serve. It is our desire to initiate, create, print, and distribute a very Informative piece of literature (Brochure/pamphlet form) educating our Black citizens on a local/state elections and also on the candidates who are running for office. This very informative piece of literature will reap very positive results for Black Americans considering that this form of Education has never been attempted before. It is our duty to inform, educate, and Include ALL Citizens into the voting process in order to make adequate and immediate change. It is very important that we are able to complete this very achievable mission because there are a multitude of advantages to distributing the Voter Inclusion & Education Brochure. This very short Newsletter could also potentially be influential to our youth and allow our kids to dream and possibly pursue a career in local/state government. We must understand that protest aren’t our only way of bringing about change and making our voices heard; but it is our vote that actually speaks Volumes.
The M.O.C.H.A. Foundation ask that ” WE ALL” come together and honor a portion of the legacy left by Representative John Lewis (2/21/40-7/17/20 RIP) who was one of the very brave souls whom led hundreds across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, AL (1965) in the name of Equality and Voting rights for All! In helping us to honor his Iconic Legacy, we “Humbly” ask that each and everyone of us would pitch in with efforts to create and distribute The VIE Programs Informative Brochure.
100% of All Donations will go directly to the creation, development, and the Distribution of this monumental literature. PLEASE Donate to help Complete Our Mission!
